Patrick Hennessy won 1st place in this year’s March Mayhem Challenge — he picked up his prizes at the Lenexa, KS Minsky’s!

This year’s first division college basketball tournament was bracket-busting mayhem as low-seeded teams fell early and often to higher seeded competitors. But, when March turned to May, #1 seeded Kansas took home the national title! It was equally competitive in Minsky’s bracket contest as over 3,000 people entered the March Mayhem Bracket Challenge competing for $5,000 in prizes!  Minsky’s is excited to introduce the top 3 prize winners!

The Minsky’s Mayhem Grand Prize winner is (drum roll please): Patrick Hennessy!  Congratulations Patrick on winning $2,500 in gift cards from Minsky’s, eggtc., Osteria Il Centro and Tenderloin Grill. When awarded the Grand Prize package at his favorite Minsky’s location in Lenexa, Patrick reported he’s celebrated many birthdays in the Lenexa party room over the years while enjoying his favorite Minsky’s pizza, “It’s always been the Five Star Cheese!”

Patrick said he’s always loved sports, especially the bracket champion Kansas Jayhawks, as well as the Chiefs and the Cardinals. Patrick said he avidly follows the NCAA Tournament each year and he’s entered the Minsky’s Bracket Challenge for several years, admitting it was surreal seeing his name in First Place, especially since he’s never even made the top ten! Patrick said it was an especially sweet victory since his favorite team also became college basketball’s National Champions. Congratulations Patrick, you’ll be able to enjoy about as many Five Star Cheese pizzas this year as you like with your $2,000 in Minsky’s gift cards!

Logan Snyder won 2nd place in this year’s March Mayhem Challenge — he picked up his prizes at the Independence, MO Minsky’s!

Second place in the Minsky’s Mayhem bracket challenge went to Logan Snyder — congratulations Logan on winning $1,500 in gift cards from Minsky’s, eggtc, Osteria Il Centro and Tenderloin Grill. Logan said he and his two boys (ages 3 and 1) could eat Minsky’s Pizza 7 days a week, “We love it!” Logan said Independence and Blue Springs are there go-to Minsky’s locations where they enjoy single topping classics like pepperoni. and sausage pizzas but, “Minsky’s Prime Cut and Chicken Cordon Bleu are hard to beat!”

Logan said he’s played and worked in sports his entire life, so filling out a bracket every March is just something that has to be done – especially with pizza on the line!  Logan admitted he’s used different strategies over the years when it comes to filling out a March Mayhem bracket, “But, after this year’s success, I may have finally found the right formula!” Logan continued, “It didn’t feel quite right having Kansas as the champ, but math is math and that’s how it worked out!” Congratulations again Logan, we hope you and your boys enjoy your $1,000 in Minsky’s Pizza!

Clif McDougall won 3rd place in this year’s March Mayhem Challenge — he picked up his prizes at the Prairie Village, KS Minsky’s!

Clif said, “I’ve been a loyal Minsky’s customer at the Prairie Village location for close to 30 years!” where his favorite Minsky’s Pizza is the Gourmet Jumbo Combo. This was the first time Clif has filled out a bracket for Minsky’s March Mayhem and said, “It made watching the games a lot of fun!” He also said having his team, the Kansas Jayhawks, win the national championship made it even better!
