Laurie Ward Wins the First Ultimate Arrowhead Experience with Travis Kelce!
The time has come to announce the first winner of five for Minsky’s “Add a Buck for Kelce’s Kids” promotion. And our first winner is…Laurie Ward! With her donation to Travis Kelce’s Eighty-Seven & Running Foundation and Operation Breakthrough Laurie won:
- A pre-game tailgate pizza from Minsky’s Pizza
- 2 VIP seats at Arrowhead Stadium
- A post-game field visit

Laurie has been dining at the Minsky’s Barry Road East location ever since she and her husband moved to North Kansas City 25 years ago. Currently living just four blocks from Minsky’s, you can find Laurie frequently sitting in Jean’s section eating her favorite Gourmet Pizza, the Prime Cut, and drinking her favorite martini or grabbing a quick bite at the bar for lunch. Of course, we had to gift Laurie with a Gourmet Prime Cut Pizza as well!

When Laurie found out she was the first winner of the ultimate VIP Arrowhead experience she said, “I was just thrilled! This is super exciting. We used to go to Chiefs games often, but our busy lives got in the way and we haven’t been to a game in years,” said Laurie. Busy getting her master’s degree, Laurie has now opened her own private practice as a Mental Health Counselor with KC Life Counseling. We’re glad you’ll be able to take a break from your busy schedule of helping others and enjoy a day at Arrowhead, Laurie!
Laurie’s favorite Chiefs player? “It’s a tie between Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes,” said Laurie. “I love the combination of their personalities and style!” She looks forward to seeing them both play an extraordinary game on opening day.

Not only did Laurie win the ultimate VIP Arrowhead experience, but so did her favorite Minsky’s server, Jean! As Laurie’s server the day she entered the contest, Jean Hall and a companion will also get to attend a Chiefs game this season – on the house! Jean has helped to collect over 200 guest donations, we’re so glad to reward Jean with this special day for all of her hard work!
