Nearly 200 different law enforcement officers attended the Police Appreciation Luncheon on Thursday, April 11 at Sar-Ko-Par Park, hosted by “Officer Oliver” and Minsky’s.
Many of the officers already knew Officer Oliver Davis pretty well, having attended other events he has arranged in the past, including a doughnut stand that made ABC World News. There were plenty of hugs to go around, and apart from the delicious pizza, Oliver also handed out custom koozies to all in attendance.
“I just want to say thank you to law enforcement for protecting us,” said Oliver.
Minsky’s founder Gregg Johnson met Oliver at the Police Academy vest presentation when Minsky’s partnered with Fox 4 on their “Working for Blue” campaign. Oliver noted how much he loves Minsky’s Pizza, and soon, Oliver’s mother, Brandi Davis, reached out to help Oliver organize the special police luncheon with Minsky’s.
“We have supported First Responders for many years, and celebrate them each year on our anniversary. Teaming up with Officer Oliver for this event was the perfect fit,” said Johnson.
