In the midst of our 37th Birthday celebration, we’re happy to share that Pizza Marketplace, a premier online resource for pizza executives, has featured an article that highlights the history of Minsky’s and the many awards and stories featured in the last year.
Minsky’s was founded by Gregg Johnson, who also co-founded Godfather’s Pizza prior to this concept. When Kansas City nearly shut down during a recent blizzard, Johnson was personally making deliveries, or “Gettin’ the pizza to the people,” as he said.
A little-known fact about Minsky’s: Our name comes from the New York City burlesque house of the early 1900′s, and to celebrate our 37th birthday, Minsky’s is officially launching a new beer on April 10: Minsky’s Burlesque Lager. The draft beer will soon be available on tap at all locations. The beer will complement our gourmet pizzas that feature fresh, hand-rolled dough and 100-percent Wisconsin mozzarella cheese, as well as sandwiches, salads and pastas.
