Minsky’s is celebrating 40 years of serving Kansas City’s best pizza. To celebrate this major milestone, we’ve decided to give back to 4 local charities all month long!
One of the four organizations were especially proud to give back to is The Alex Smith Foundation. This not-for-profit provides foster teens with the tools and resources needed to transition to successful adulthood by developing and promoting Mentoring, Education, Housing, Internship, Job, and Advocacy programs.
“I got a chance to meet with some teenage foster kids that were aging out of the system and started to understand what their future looks like. They turn 18 and are turned out onto the street with no more help. I couldn’t imagine what that would be like,” said Kansas City Chiefs Quarterback Alex Smith. “Education is really important to me an
d I think the gateway out for these kids is going to school and finishing their education and giving them the tools and the resources they need to finish.”
The Alex Smith Foundation works to provide foster teens with education, housing, mentoring, internships and jobs and advocacy programs. The Alex Smith Foundation has supported 23 former foster youths through college and are working to help as many as they can. They aren’t interested so much in asking “Why?” as much as they are asking, “How can we help?”
From Friday, April 29th through Tuesday, May 31st, Minsky’s
Pizza will donate 15% of customers’ in-store and online orders to The Alex Smith Foundation when the customer selects The Alex Smith Foundation as a beneficiary. And, if The Alex Smith Foundation raises more that the other three “4 for 40” charities during the promotional period, Minsky’s will double their final donation!
Here’s how to participate:
- For in-store dining, take out or delivery, customer presents a printed out “4 for 40” coupon in-store (click here to print). Alternatively, the coupon may be presented on your mobile device.
- When ordering online at com. Enter code ALEX15 at checkout!
As a special thank you to the customers who help support this worthy cause (and in addition to the 15% donation to the Alex Smith Foundation), Minsky’s will also take 5% off all online and in-store orders for customers who use one of the “4 for 40” coupons or online ordering codes!
